Why is fitness an important factor in ping pong?

In every sport player has to spare some time to maintain the fitness. In this article we will describe the importance of fitness in ping pong. Your level escalates from beginner to intermediate and advanced as you improve your fitness. So Let us describe how fitness plays a great part at different levels.
At beginner level your physical fitness doesn’t play much part in the advancement of your game you just need the capacity of walking for few hours without getting exhausted. At this level you need to focus on the other two factors like consistency and technique. The reason fitness doesn’t count at this level is because most of the rallies between you and your opponent aren’t going to last long and your whole match will be of very short period of time. Even if you spend too much of the time on fitness it will not affect your game. It is not bad but it is not good either.
At the intermediate level fitness plays an important role and becomes an important factor because both of the players have developed the technique and consistency. The next thing that a player needs is footwork because every player has now learned sophisticated shots and they hit the ball in the positions which are hard to reach so an effective footwork is much required at this level. Your game becomes fast plus at this level you need powerful strokes and smashes which needs strength and power.
Being fit is of very importance but at this level players can use deceptive techniques and better tactics to reimburse the lack of fitness.
It is true that you develop fitness when you are in a game but you have plenty of extra time when your partner isn’t around you can utilize it by indulging in some ping pong specific exercises that will improve your aerobic fitness and strength.
For professionals or elite players physical fitness in very much important because all of your opponents will have everything including tactics, consistency and technique so in order to crush them you are going to need something more than that for a high level competition. Anaerobic fitness is very much needed in arduous counter loop and loop to chop rallies with the aerobic fitness which is required to maintain the intensity which is needed to indulge in a competition for a number of matches a day.
Professional players need an exercise plan which includes both work on the table and off the table techniques and exercise in order to develop a monstrous fitness. A player who focuses on of the table techniques is much likely to develop more fitness because of the rapid advancement and invention of new and effective methods. This player is definitely going to be more successful and productive during a match than a player who only focuses on the table work. We hope that this article will be of great help to you. Have a nice and great career ahead.

These are not arranged in any order just randomly mentioned.
Zhang Jike: Looking in the current time we have a great player Zhang Jike who has won a gold medal recently at the World Championships 2013 men’s single winning back his throne of World Champions 2011.
Over a few past years he had a taint on his career and he was losing his reputation was losing but he proved all of this wrong by defeating Wang Hao in the 2013 World Championship’s finals. Now today he is considered unbeatable and his speed is very hard to catch it is likely that he will be able to secure the title of Grand slam twice for himself. Gamblers if you want to win some money don’t hesitate to bet your money on him. Joking!
The great Viktor Bana: If we take a sneak peak in the earlier history before World War 2. A name that is unfortunately not mentioned too much but is known to the true perks of the game and will never be forgotten whenever there is even a whisper of table tennis players. The great Viktor Bana from Hungary has a number of spectacular achievements. He has won 21 gold medals at world championships and he later started playing from England and he also secured a lot of bronze and silvers for this country too. Table tennis would not be complete without this name.
Li Xiaoxia: It is nothing but a mere cliché that women can’t be great as men in the table tennis no doubt the ratio is less but Li Xiaoxia has proved that women can play table tennis in their own and classy style. It would be very bogus list not mentioning the name of Li Xiaoxia. She has shown her marvel in the World Championships by beating Liu Shewin and became the 4th player who has claimed the title of the great Grand Slam.
